Christian

J.R.

This is Jack Ryan Peterson. The second oldest. He was born on April 8th, 2002. He is such a little man. He is always making comments or faces that just make us laugh. He is super smart and definitely a good manipulator. He is a lot like his Uncle Alex. He is a sweetheart too though and is always willing to help (especially if he can make a few bucks, definitely like Alex.) He is an awesome older brother and usually tries to keep the peace. He usually will let one of his siblings have something of his that they want so that it doesn't cause a huge fight. He has been a great joy in my life and I am greatful that him and his siblings just live down the block. That way they can ride their bikes or walk to grandma's anytime.

Brendan

This is Brendan Michael Peterson. He was born on April 11, 2008. He is the youngest of my oldest son's children though you wouldn't think it by his attitude. He tries so hard to be independent. He is not however above begging or flat out stealing your food ( no matter what it is) out of your hand. He is a sweetie but he holds his own and won't let you push him around. He is starting to be more verbal and I love hearing him say things ( mostly "no" or "two"). He is a handful though and I am grateful that as a Grandma my job is to basically spoil him and then send him home (sorry Christy). He is our little chubber man and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Paige

I decided I would write a little something about each of my grandkids. Tonya I hope you don't mind I stole this beautiful picture of Paige off of your blog. This is Paige Anneliese Peterson. She was born on August 23, 2007. She is the first (and hopefully not the last) child of Tonya and Alex. She is the most mischievious, adorable little thing and has brought me and my husband much joy. She loves her papa but she loves me just as much. She is growing up so fast and I wish they didn't live so far away so I could be more a part of her life. She is our blonde haired, blue eyed little beast and I can't wait to see her in a few weeks. We still communicate with her over the webcam but it breaks my heart when she wants me to hold her and I have to tell her I can't right now. This is Paige and we couldn't ask for more of a sweetheart. Love you Paigey.
Busy
I haven't really gotten used to blogging yet but hopefully I'll get better and posting. To basically catch up what's been going on. My car was hit badly on my birthday. We are now using a rental car while it is being fixed. My state inspection was today and I've been really stressed about it. I think that it went well but I was stressed because it was a new lady and not the one that I'm used to (and you all know how I am with change). I am grateful to my wonderful daughter Jacque and her husband Cory. They helped me get my house ready even though I know they had other things to do. I also appreciate my future son in law James. He's been doing a great job of keeping my yard looking nice. We are now three weeks from Stephanie and James' wedding. Talk about crazy. We have a lot done but there is still so much we are trying to fit into 3 weeks. Get James' kids, Stephanie and James get there endowments out, 3 bridal showers for Stephanie, Tonya and Paige arrive from NM, James' Mom flies in from CA, James' Dad, Step-Mom, and sister drive in from OR. We have hotel arrangements to help out with. Not to mention a good old fashioned BBQ rehearsal dinner. The next few weeks are going to be crazy. I now hold a church calling. I work in the library. I love my new calling and the opportunity it gives me to serve our Father in Heaven. I love the ladies I work with and that I can go enjoy church without it bothering my knees so bad.
My very dear friend Sister Evans passed away a few weeks ago as well as Brother May. I loved both of them dearly and will miss them. I knew Sister Evans from a young women's activity. I was about 18 at the time and I started visiting some women in our ward. I went back each year to give them a gift. But none of the friendships lasted as long as mine and Sister Evans. We had been friends over 35 years. She was a lovely women who crocheted and was famous for her popcorn balls (at least to my kids). It breaks my heart to have so many people I love pass away. But I am grateful everyday for the gospel that tells me I will see them again.
I think that is all I will write for now but I will try to be better about posting.
Until next time......
